Community Vibrancy

Creating a warm welcome for students, nurturing school spirit and providing opportunities for students to connect with one another is important to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV.  Since Fall of 2021, the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Community Vibrancy Project works to create a welcoming, inspiring and animated campus.

You’ve probably already seen their handiwork: the red umbrellas, picnic tables, public pianos, indoor table tennis, red ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV letters, games and relaxing furniture are all a part of the Community Vibrancy initiative to provide a lively and social atmosphere for students and staff.   There are seasonal initiative as well, with flowers, pop up markets, food trucks and seating in the sun in the spring and summer, and animation of Convocation Mall in the fall and winter with ceiling string lights, pianos, holiday décor and covered outdoor seating.

Community Vibrancy often relies on tireless student Ambassadors on the ground-level, working each day to ensure that ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV vibrancy is happening. They're the ones setting up amenities, coordinating spaces and doing the crucial job of ensuring that everything goes off without a hitch.  Former Community Vibrancy Coordinator and former Ancillary Services Co-Op student Khanh Linh Doan felt proud:

"Being a student myself, I understand the importance of social connection. Especially after more than a year of online learning, most of us miss the face-to-face interactions and our daily conversations. I am very proud to have been a small part of Community Vibrancy and I hope that through this project students will have more chances to make new friends, and create valuable memories with their colleagues."
