Take your stand against bullying and wear pink on ‘Pink Shirt Day’ 2024

January 20, 2024

In 2007, a 9th grade student in Nova Scotia was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. When two of his schoolmates learned about it, they mobilized other students in their school to wear pink in solidarity of the student and take a stand against bullying.

Little did they know that this would become a global movement; ‘Pink Shirt Day’ aims to stop other kids from being bullied or victimized. Since then, pink shirt day is celebrated annually across Canada on the last Wednesday of February to promote and create environments across schools, workplaces, organizations and online where everyone can feel safe, valued, and respected.
