Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) teaches evidence-based techniques to improve emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness.
About
In a supportive and structured environment, participants will learn practical strategies to manage overwhelming emotions, improve relationships, communicate better, and make thoughtful choices instead of reacting impulsively. The group will provide a safe space to practice these skills and connect with others facing similar challenges.

About the facilitators
Racheal Ligali (she/hers)
Mental Health Nurse
Racheal is a Registered Mental Health Nurse. She completed her Master’s Degree at Brandon University in Advanced Clinical Practice. Racheal has worked in the mental health field since 2010. Her approach in her interactions derives from a humanistic response, such as the practice of empathy and respect. She commits herself to the importance of assuming awareness of social positions, such as culture and lived experiences in order to focus solely on the stories told by each student.
Mira Zuchowski (She/Hers)
Counselling Practicum Student
Mira is a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology student from Adler University and is completing a supervised practicum placement at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV. Mira is committed to providing client-centered, trauma-informed care from a strength-based perspective. She emphasizes cultural humility in her work, creating a safe and supportive space to empower clients and enhance their resilience. Passionate about Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), she is dedicated to helping individuals build practical skills that foster resilience, emotional well-being, and a balanced approach to life's challenges."
