Tell us a little about yourself, including what inspires you to learn and continue in your chosen field

I am deeply passionate about sports biomechanics, particularly in developing effective lower extremity injury prevention strategies for females. My current research zeroes in on acute ankle sprains among female volleyball players, aiming to elucidate the underlying causes of these injuries. This work is dedicated to crafting targeted interventions that not only enhance the safety and performance of female athletes but also contribute broadly to the field. Through rigorous biomechanical analysis, I am committed to significantly advancing our understanding and prevention of sports-related injuries.

Why did you choose to come to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?

¶¡ÏãÔ°AV boasts a robust research environment and offers numerous opportunities for biomechanics studies.

How would you describe your research or your program to a family member?

Exercise can greatly enhance our lives, providing numerous health benefits. However, it also carries some risks. By understanding and applying the principles of biomechanics, we can make exercising both safer and more effective. This scientific approach helps us minimize injuries and maximize the benefits of physical activity, ensuring that we can enjoy a healthier lifestyle with fewer complications.

What three (3) keywords would you use to describe your research?

Injury prevention, biomechanics, female exercise

How have your courses, RA-ships, TA-ships, or non-academic school experiences contributed to your academic and/or professional development?

I have greatly enjoyed my TA-ship in the BPK department, as it has given me the opportunity to collaborate with outstanding professors and attend their lectures. Although these lectures are designed for undergraduates, I have benefited immensely, especially from answering the insightful questions posed by students.
