Jenny Zhe Liao
Molecular Biology and Biochemistry master's student in the Faculty of Science
I completed my Bachelor degree here, and now I'm pursuing my passion in the field of genetics in a doctorate program.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?
¶¡ÏãÔ°AV is a diverse and multi-cultural community, people are engaged to explore and reach their fullest potentials in here. ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV is also an ideal place for conducting research with rooms for collaborations nationwide and globally.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?
Learning human disease causing genes in the body of fruit flies, and trying to understand the disease more comprehensively in both molecular and therapeutic levels.
WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?
The support and encouragement from my lab mates and my talented supervisor. I still have a lot to learn from everyone of them in the lab.
HAVE YOU BEEN THE RECIPIENT OF ANY MAJOR OR DONOR-FUNDED AWARDS? IF SO, PLEASE TELL US WHICH ONES AND A LITTLE ABOUT HOW THE AWARDS HAVE IMPACTED YOUR STUDIES AND/OR RESEARCH.
