I completed my undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV last year and I'm continuing on with a Master's in Physics. The design aspects of engineering as well as the research opportunities in physics have both always been appealing to me so I'm excited to have the chance to bring both these interests together.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?
I chose to come to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV because of the project opportunities available here. Being able to mix engineering design work with interesting physics applications was important to me and I was able to find very interesting work at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?
In my research, I work towards developing instrumentation for detecting illusive particles that we can use to expand our insights about the universe.
WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?
I've enjoyed meeting and working with new people at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV. Everyone is very friendly and the whole environment is welcoming.

My program involves a lot of simulation work and data analysis. Though it can be challenging, the work is captivating and rewarding.
