I am an ecosystem system scientist, civil engineer, and geographer with a background in sustainable and systematic thinking. I am passionate about limnology and hydrology, particularly within the context of global climate change.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?

I chose to come to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV for my PhD because of its great facilities and support for research related to my field, and its reputation as a top university in Canada.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?

I am currently researching the under-ice hydrodynamics and biogeochemistry of arctic lakes in the Mackenzie River Delta of the Northwest Territories. Essentially, I am studying the physical and chemical dynamics of water and methane in arctic lakes during periods when they are isolated from the atmosphere (frozen), in relation to water column mixing and green house gas production.
