"¶¡ÏãÔ°AV has one of a kind interdisciplinary program in the School of Interactive Arts & Technology (SIAT). I felt like the interdisciplinary program of SIAT can answer my curiosity."
Nazmus Sakib
Interactive Arts & Technology master's student in the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology
I am Nazmus Sakib from Bangladesh. I completed my Bachelor of Architecture in 2020. I studied architecture to dive into designing buildings, streets, and cities for the future. Also, during my study period, I participated in various design competitions. I honed my skills from multiple creative disciplines.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?
After completing my undergraduate program I became curious about the diverse fields of designing from product to urban scale, solving real-life problems, to preparing for future challenges. ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV has one of a kind interdisciplinary program in the School of Interactive Arts & Technology (SIAT). I felt like the interdisciplinary program of SIAT can answer my curiosity.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?
Current global issues such as climate change and waste management make current city planning questionable for future habitations. Dredging out all the limited resources and energies, we ravaged the local environment. I study fictions and speculations in my design research to foresee different future of possibilities. It sounds fun but it is a difficult task which requires exploring into the unknowns.
WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?
The interdisciplinary nature of my study. I get to learn new stuffs from everyone everyday.
