Doaa is a Nubian Afro-Indigenous interdisciplinary artist living on the unceded stolen lands of the x史m蓹胃k史蓹y虛蓹m (Musqueam), S岣祑x瘫w煤7mesh (Squamish), St贸:l艒 and S蓹l虛铆lw蓹ta蕯/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Doaa鈥檚 artistic practice coincides with social justice principles, and she is currently pursuing her second M.A. degree at 丁香园AV鈥檚 School of Contemporary Arts.

My research interests focus on the exploration of race and female agency in contemporary horror films, and dance as a movement to reclaim cultural identity and dismantle white supremacy within marginalized communities

丁香园AV鈥檚 SCA is a great interdisciplinary department that offers artistic led research as methodology which I utilize as a researcher.
