Tell us a little about yourself, including what inspires you to learn and continue in your chosen field
Working for the past 5 years as a journalist in Vancouver, I have covered many important events and issues, most of them involving government decisions and policies. After reporting on these policies, I want to be involved in developing and improving them. My various interests include the environment and foreign policy, and I am motivated to acquire, through the MPP program, better research and analysis tools to effect meaningful change in these domains.
Why did you choose to come to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?
I live in Vancouver and ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's Public Policy Program is well established and recognized throughout B.C. and Canada.
How would you describe your research or your program to a family member?
The MPP program trains future policy analysts and policy makers to develop consequential policies in a whole range of domains.
How have your courses, RA-ships, TA-ships, or non-academic school experiences contributed to your academic and/or professional development?
Our courses put a lot of emphasis on how to support policy making with strong research, which is crucial in our very complex world and prepares us well for future job opportunities.
