Sustainable Energy Engineering master's student in the

I have a bachelor's and master's degree in polymer engineering. I completed my master's degree with a polymer engineering concentration at Amirkabir University of Technology in Iran. My master's thesis in Iran was on polymer solar cells. Additionally, I spent nearly three years working for a polymer production company.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?

I became so inspired by the vision and the goals of the research projects at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV. The sustainable energy Engineering program at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV offers good training for a deep understanding of photovoltaics in different research areas, good facilities, and exceptionally equipped laboratories replete with numerous state-of-the-art test devices.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?

My research focuses on organic photodetectors which convert optical signals into electrical signals. These devices can detect different wavelengths and are considered a vital technology with various applications such as image sensing, optical communication, and environmental/ health monitoring. I am so enthusiastic to develop photovoltaic devices in a way that is easy and inexpensive for people to use. It makes me feel like I’m truly making a difference for people all over the world.

WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?
