My name is Reza, I'm a PhD student at the school of sustainable energy engineering. I graduated with my master's studies at RWTH Aachen University in Germany and my bachelor's studies at the Sharif University of Technology in Iran.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?
I have always wanted to conduct research in the field of sustainable energy and clean transportation. ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV, a reputable University in Canada, provided a great opportunity for me.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?
I am mainly focused on integrated and hybrid energy sources, more specifically, on hybrid electric and low-carbon gaseous fuel engines. This includes experiments and advanced optimization and control to reach a high efficiency system.

Yes, Special Graduate Entrance Scholarship. I believe awards and scholarships like this can be a great motivation for students and good help for them to focus more on their research for a better future.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PROGRAM/POSTDOC POSITION TO SOMEONE STILL SEARCHING FOR A PROGRAM OR POSTDOC POSITION?
In a few words, I can describe it as a diverse program that includes different fields of engineering from electrical engineering to mechanical and chemical, but with a common goal of sustainability. This program provides a great combination of multi-disciplinary studies together with focused research opportunities.
