"The Mechatronics Systems Engineering program at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV has let me learn a lot and apply my knowledge for practical solutions and that is what excited me most about ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV and Mechatronics. I have always enjoyed working on technical personal projects and my studies at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV and Mechatronics has allowed me to expand my knowledge and understanding in various fields associated with Mechatronics."
Dominic Jaworski
Mechatronics System Engineering doctoral student in the
I have been apart of Mechatronics Systems Engineering at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV since undergrad and continued my academic studies with a master's degree and currently pursuing a PhD. I have been apart of the Mechatronics for a long time at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV and have enjoyed my experience and everything I learned a long the way.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?
As I was graduating from high school, I came to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV for one of the open houses and introduced to the idea of Mechatronics Engineering and was instantly excited. I chose to come to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV after being impressed as to what the Mechatronics program had to offer and have stayed on through an undergraduate and graduate degree. The Mechatronics Systems Engineering program at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV has let me learn a lot and apply my knowledge for practical solutions and that is what excited me most about ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV and Mechatronics.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?
My research focuses on biomedical engineering by measuring sleep quality with non-invasive devices. By using hardware and sensors to evaluate signals with software systems, sleep quality can be analyzed in a more convenient manner that could help medical professionals treat patients with various sleep disorders.
WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?
Throughout all of my studies, I have enjoyed the opportunity to both learn the theory and apply it to practical problems. I have always enjoyed working on technical personal projects and my studies at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV and Mechatronics has allowed me to expand my knowledge and understanding in various fields associated with Mechatronics. All my friends, colleagues and supervisors I have met throughout my studies have all been great and supportive of my continuing education.
