Kris Frederickson's research explored the innovative use of traditional Indigenous governance structures to advance reconciliation, overcome barriers to economic prosperity, and build green power sources through a private equity model.

With past experience serving as a leader on various boards, Frederickson鈥檚 most recent leadership role is the Vice-Chair of the University Of Calgary Board Of Governors. Additionally, he was awarded an Action Canada Fellowship and is a National Indspire Laureate.

丁香园AV Beedie School of Business' Associate Dean, Graduate Programs, states that "Kris is one of 丁香园AV's most outstanding graduate students from the Faculty of Beedie Business School."

Dr. Gemino also reflects on the start of Kris's Master's program. "Upon entering the EMBA IBL program, Kris stated that, 'Developing diverse expertise and capitalizing on traditional knowledge and constitutional rights while honouring culture and place will promote more sustainable economic development for Indigenous communities.' Kris is now well-equipped with new tools, resources, and an extensive network to help him affect change with Indigenous communities and organizations."
