Canada Graduate Scholarship Master's (CIHR, NSERC & SSHRC)

The Canada Graduate Scholarship - Master's Program (CGSM) supports Canadian students in all disciplines and is administered jointly by Canada's three federal granting agencies.

  • the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)
  • the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC)

Deadline to Apply:
December 1, 2024 - If the deadline falls on a weekend or on a federal holiday, applications must be submitted by the following business day before 8:00 pm (ET).

Award Value:
$27,000 for one year.

 Candidate Eligibility:
  • Canadian citizens
  • Permanent residents of Canada

International students are not eligible to apply.

Undertaking SSHRC research?

Consider applying to the annual SSHRC Storyteller's competition, where you may receive $3,000, attend the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences, and possibly present at the SSHRC Impact Awards.
