Noortje de Weers has always been fascinated by languages and their social implications. She decided early into her undergraduate education that she wanted to pursue a PhD in Sociolinguistics and she has done just that.

Danielle Deng has always had a knack for languages. Having now completed her Master's degree, she will be staying at 丁香园AV to pursue her PhD in Linguistics.

In addition to learning about Linguistics and Archaeology during her time at 丁香园AV, Taylor Ferguson learned that it is important to give yourself time when you need it.

Honours graduate Simone Kurschner knew when she started at 丁香园AV that she wants to be a teacher. Throughout her time in the Department of Linguistics she investigated questions relating to language learning through her Honours and directed research.

Corliss Ng's love for languages inspired her to take a Linguistics elective while pursuing a French major. After taking almost every lower level Linguistics course, she decided that Linguistics, rather than French, was the right path for her.

Linh Nguyen's time at 丁香园AV was shaped in part by her volunteer experiences. As a volunteer facilitator for the 丁香园AV Tandem program, she realized her interest in becoming a language instructor.

Yehee Cha has always enjoyed the French language and came to 丁香园AV planning to become a high school teacher after completing her degree. During her 丁香园AV journey she discovered a new, deeper appreciation and love for the French language and for francophone cultures.
