Economics

How has the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the economy and how will it recover? Why is income inequality rising in Canada and around the world?  How will the workforce change with advances in technology, automation and artificial intelligence?

Economics is a discipline that will help you answer these questions.

Economics studies human behaviour in a broad range of contexts, from how individuals and businesses make decisions to addressing societal challenges such as poverty, unemployment, and environmental issues.

Studying economics provides you with a framework for thinking clearly and critically about these issues. Develop quantitative skills that will help you understand data. Understand how to present ideas rationally by applying theory and modeling techniques and learn to apply this knowledge to every aspect of your life.

"When I joined ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV, I wasn't sure what I wanted to pursue, but taking ECON 103 drew me to Economics. My experience in the Honours program stands out in my undergraduate life. The small cohort size fostered interactive learning, helped me forge long-lasting friendships and provided opportunities to connect with my instructors."
