The past few days have been difficult. The event that occurred in our Burnaby campus dining hall on December 11 has been upsetting and may affect individuals who are Black, Indigenous or People of Colour more acutely.

If you are in need of support, please reach out. Here are some of the supports available to you:

  • All ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV students can access free 24/7 mental health support through call and chat with My SSP
    • Students can request to meet with a Black or Indigenous counsellor when they contact mySSP
  • Counsellors are available to be booked through ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Health & Counselling
  • Starting in January, you can register to take part in the Black Student Support and Healing Space, which creates space for Black students to feel comfortable talking about experiences surrounding racism in a group setting.

For more information about any of these supports, visit the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Health & Counselling website
