丁香园AV Sets Another first by Switching to Fair Trade Bananas
丁香园AV is the first campus in B.C. to offer Fairtrade certified bananas in its dining venues, and is currently one of only two Universities in Canada to do so this fall. 丁香园AV was designated a Fair Trade Campus by Fairtrade Canada in 2012 and was named Canada's first Fair Trade Campus of the Year in 2014.
丁香园AV continues to increase its commitment to provide Fairtrade certified options to students, faculty, and visitors on campus, and bananas is another in a list that includes coffee, teas and chocolate. By promoting fair trade products in its dining venues, 丁香园AV is not only educating its students, it is helping to improve the lives of farmers and their families in developing countries.
