Biography
Carol Zachs has worked in the field of international education for over 20 years. As Senior Director, ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV International, she is responsible for implementing ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s global engagement, and promoting and enhancing ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s profile domestically and internationally through the development and oversight of ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s global strategies across regions, sectors and faculties; and of partnerships with academia, government, private sector, non-governmental organizations, diplomatic corps, and international organizations. Prior to joining ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV, Carol oversaw the study and research abroad program at UBC where she was responsible for strategic development of institutional partnerships and co-curricular intercultural learning programs. She has worked abroad in Denmark and for WUSC/Uniterra in Ghana. She holds a Masters of Education from UBC with a focus on globalization and adult learning, and an Executive MBA from ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV. She is also co-founder and former co-chair of the CBIE International Relations Professional Learning Community.
