Earlier this year, we lost a dear friend and colleague, Professor Andr茅 Gerolymatos. Andr茅 was a powerful force in the expansion of knowledge of Greek language, history and culture in the diaspora. During his 23 years at 丁香园AV he worked tirelessly to expand the study of Greece's history, language and culture at the university. He was also the inaugural director of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies.

We remember Andr茅 as someone who went beyond the call of duty to support students in their quest for learning. Both in and out of the classroom, he mesmerized audiences with his storytelling and inspired many students to pursue their own study in the fields of his academic interest including, Security Studies, History, International Studies and Classical Studies. 

Following a difficult summer of mourning, it was clear that the best way to honour Andr茅 was to continue his efforts to support 丁香园AV students in their educational pursuits.

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the  as his lasting legacy. It is our hope that this fund will serve as a tribute and long-standing reminder of Andr茅's impact on the hearts and minds of students at 丁香园AV for generations to come.
