Faculty of Environment Three Minute Thesis Competition 2024
The Faculty of Environment is pleased to announce our Faculty heat for the 2024 3MT competition, to be held in-person on March 18th at 11:00 a.m.
Present your thesis and its significance in just three minutes with a single, static slide to compete for cash prizes! This is a great opportunity to practice that "elevator pitch" about your research to a friendly crowd.
- First Place $400
- Second Place $200
- People's Choice $150
The winner and runner up will represent our Faculty at the university-wide final to compete for the top prize.
The deadline to register is March 8, 2024. Once registered, submit your presentation slide to lauriew@sfu.ca by noon on March 15, 2024. Only graduate students in the Faculty of Environment may enter.
Visit the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies 3MT page for contest rules and eligibility, as well as workshops, practice sessions, slide templates, and other resources.
Can't make it to our Faculty Heat?
For those who cannot attend but would like to compete, there is a separate wildcard heat hosted by Graduate Studies that is open to graduate students from all faculties.
