  • Lead Indigenous faculty member, Education 400 course for the Professional Development Program (PDP) for the 2018 (inaugural year) and 2019 intake for the course. My leadership responsibilities included: mentoring a new Indigenous limited-term lecturer; co-planning Indigenous scholarly content for large group seminars; co-organizing the beginning of term longhouse & community visits to Skwxw繳7mesh Nation & Xm庛kwym Nation (for all 400 students); developing a longhouse protocol curriculum; arranging Indigenous knowledge-holder presentations and ceremonies; providing mentorship for non-Indigenous faculty members and faculty associates to Indigenize and decolonize their practices; mentoring PDP staff for community relationship building in Indigenous communities; financially overseeing of all Indigenous education programming for the course; delivering interdisciplinary large group lectures related to Indigenous content; collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary planning team member for all course content and activities; meeting with senior PDP leadership to discuss Indigenous education priorities and needs, Professional Development Program, Faculty of Education (2018-2019)
