Global News. (2023, May 6)

DemSCAPE Principal Investigator, Dr. Habib Chaudhury, was invited to consult on the growing possibilities of dementia villages for Canadians living with dementia in a recent . Chaudhury said villages, and other care models that put the person first, can help shape care in the future, but training and education is crucial if we want to find a solution. He also adds the traditional homes we’re used to seeing in Canada were created from more of an acute care model.

The Public Health Agency of Canada is pleased to share A Dementia Strategy for Canada: Together We Achieve – 2022 Annual Report, which was recently tabled in Parliament.  The Dementia Strategic Fund (DSF) supports efforts designed to pursue the strategy’s national objectives on prevention and quality of life, with a link to DemSCAPE included on page 11.

With the help of ArcGIS Online, the field researchers were able to access created feature datasets for use in Field Map application to record spatial features, take notes, and take photographs while conducting walking interviews.

UBC IDEA Lab Projects. (2022, FEBRUARY 9)
