Interpreting reports
The final step in closing the feedback loop is putting your students' responses to work. At the end of the term, once grades have been submitted, you will have access to reports that contain averages, frequencies, and standard deviations to response scale question as well as the comments that your students shared. The following resources are meant to help you interpret reports and leverage your insights to enrich the student learning experience.
Response Rates
Students come into a class from a variety of academic and personal backgrounds and it is of vital importance to hear from everyone.
Student interpretation of Common Core
A content validity study, in which students were interviewed about their understanding and interpretations of the response scale, was conducted. This section lists the common interpretations of each scale.
Report Statistics
The results of multiple-choice questions are reported with descriptive statistics and a graph that shows response frequency to scale options.
