Congratulations to Manon Picard (C么t茅 lab) for winning the western regional final of the French 3MT competition!

Manon described her PhD thesis as a mystery. The piece involves: a victim (Alaria - a kelp species), a crime scene (in Quebec in the St. Lawrence), an alleged suspect (water turbidity) and investigations (field and laboratory experiments) to try and solve the mystery - Is it sedimentary, my dear Watson? 

Manon will move onto the next level of the competition.
