Asim Renyard wins Faculty of Science teaching award!
Department of Biological Sciences
We're thrilled to announce that our own Asim Renyard has been awarded a Faculty of Science Excellence in Teaching Award!
Asim is an MPM candidate in the Gries lab and was nominated by faculty who worked with him last fall in BISC 317, Insect Biology. His nominees describe him as an extraordinarily knowledgeable, competent, and dedicated Teaching Assistant, who went above and beyond for his students. In BISC 317 he offered extracurricular mini field trips to provide hands-on learning opportunities, helped update course material, used social media to communicate insect collecting opportunities, and kept an open-door policy for students seeking advice, all highly appreciated by his students!
Congratulations to Asim!
