The (CCECE) and are holding a forum to discuss diversity within Canada鈥檚 Electrical and Computer Engineering fields. WWEST鈥檚 own Dr. Lesley Shannon will be speaking at the forum about 鈥渦nderstanding implicit bias and stereotype threat.鈥� Other keynote speakers include Catherine Roome and Zahra Ahmadian. Attendees will also get the opportunity to network with Vancouver鈥檚 top engineering professionals and connect with WWEST.

: is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the . Catherine received her degree in electrical engineering from the University of Victoria and as a professional engineer she has been the recipient of several business and leadership awards.

: is the Director of and the (PART) at Ms. Paris is also an accomplished researcher and product developer with over twenty years of experience in developing proposals, grants, and contracts to conduct applied research projects and build applied research infrastructure. In 2009 Engineers Canada bestowed the designation of Fellow upon Ms. Paris in honour of exceptional contributions to the engineering profession in Canada.
