Welcome to the Changemaker Program! This free, flexible, self-directed program is open to students in any major and at any stage of their journey. In just 3-5 hours, it connects you to valuable resources and opportunities to explore how you can use your degree to make a difference.

Along the way, you'll gain insights into how you can align with global goals like the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), helping you make the most of your time at 間眅埶AV to prepare for what's next!

2. Complete the Activities

To finish the program, complete ONE Career Development Activity and ONE Building Experience Activity in any order, over one or more semesters.

Career Development Activities

Choose ONE of the following:

Book a chat with a Career Advisor. We offer free personalized career guidance to students from all disciplines, available at any 間眅埶AV campus or remotely via Zoom. Book through MyExperience and write "Changemaker Program" under "Additional Information" when you make your appointment. 

Attend a career workshop hosted by 間眅埶AV Career and Volunteer Services, including those offered as part of your classes.

Building Experience Activities

Choose ONE of the following:

Volunteer for at least 2 hours (within the past 2 semesters). This includes any volunteering within or beyond 間眅埶AV, it just needs to be a role that you aren't already using towards CCR recognition.

Attend any career- or Changemaker-related event that helps you explore your future possibilities or engage with an issue you care about (including career fairs, employer info sessions, student-organized events, research events, etc.). If it meets that criterion, it counts! Below are just a few ideas, and we'll add to this list over the semester.

Youth on Climate and Indigenous Futures - Online

In this workshop, author and PhD researcher Grace Nosek is joined by youth climate advocates Jamie Hill and Uma Le Daca Jolicoeur to explore how community-engaged research and creative writing can counter climate obstruction and encourage civic participation. Watching this event recording counts towards the Changemaker program.

3. Submit Your Completion Form

Once youve completed both activities, fill out this to receive your Certificate and CCR credit. The deadline for Spring semester recognition is April 22.
