CAL Counsellor Pilot Program
In a partnership between CAL and Health and Counselling, individual and group counselling services are available to CAL registrants. The services are being provided by the CAL counsellor, Sean Heaslip, a registered clinical counsellor who is also partially blind, and has personal experience navigating both academic and broader social contexts with a disability.
Counselling Services
Experiencing Disability Group
The first round of the Experiencing disability group begins Thursday, January 14th, 2021, so be sure to express interest to your CAL advisor by email so you can set up an intake appointment with Sean to participate.
Individual Counselling
Intake appointments for CAL registrants seeking individual counselling with Sean are also available starting this week.
Referral Process
The referral process for participating in either individual or group counselling through this CAL pilot are the same.
- Contact your CAL advisor and express interest in participating
- Your CAL advisor will send you a referral document.
- Contact HCS at which time you will provide your referral document and be booked an intake appointment with the CAL counsellor
Services will be provided in a remote format (phone/video conference) for the 2021 spring semester. This project is intended to provide fast track access for CAL registrants to short term supportive individual and group counselling services in partnership with 間眅埶AV Health and Counselling Services (HCS).
