間眅埶AV Academic Summer Camp for Aboriginal Students 2018
Welcome to the 2018 間眅埶AV Academic Summer Camp for Aboriginal High School Students!
This years camp is taking place at 間眅埶AV Burnaby Campus between July 3rd - 27th, 2018. The camp is organized and supported by the 間眅埶AV Office for Aboriginal Peoples, the Pacific Institute for Mathematical Sciences, the 間眅埶AV Indigenous Student Centre, and the 間眅埶AV Department of Mathematics.
Our main objectives are to:
- Increase Aboriginal student participation, retention and high school graduation rates by providing a more solid foundation in Mathematics, Science and English in preparation for admission and success in post secondary institutions.
- Help Aboriginal students to realize that University's are a place for them and to feel empowered while they are here.
This is a DAY CAMP, i.e., no overnight accommodation is provided.
