Linguistics Graduate Student Conference Participation

The Department of Linguistics encourages graduate student participation in conferences world wide. In April 2016, a group of our MA and PhD students represented 間眅埶AV at the concurrent meeting of the and the at the University of Washington.

MA student had a busy summer, attending and presenting at two conferences in just two months! Lisa traveled to Spain with her supervisor, , to attend  at the University of Murcia; view the abstract of her presentation, "Negotiating the Value of English at the Inner/Expanding Circle Interface: The English language teaching industry in Vancouver, Canada."

間眅埶AV's Centre for Research on International Education and the Faculty of Education hosted Internationalizing Higher Education: Past Practices and Future Possibilities, at which Lisa presented "Pathway to Global Citizenship: The role of private English schools in the Internationalization of higher education."
