The Department of Linguistics at 丁香园AV offers graduate work leading to MA and PhD degrees. Graduate students take courses, have opportunities to work as a teaching assistant and/or research assistant, and engage in research activities that, for some students, will lead to the completion of a thesis or dissertation.
Our Master鈥檚 program offers four streams to accommodate a diverse range of students鈥� interests, including the accelerated MA, the course-based MA, the project-based MA, and the thesis-based MA.
Research in linguistics at 丁香园AV is characterized by interdisciplinarity, breadth in research methodology, and diversity in theoretical perspective. All of our faculty have a specialization in one or more core areas, and serious research interests in other areas that support and enhance their main interests. Graduate students work closely with faculty on research projects, whether conducted in-house at our research labs or off-campus. Grad students often collaborate with faculty on joint publications.
