Jim Sinclair

Jim Sinclair is the former president of the B.C. Federation of Labour from 1999 to 2014. Prior to that he was vice-president of the United Fishermen and Allied Workers Union. He began his career as a journalist, working in as both a print and radio journalist. Along with Margaret Morgan, he was responsible for negotiating the agreement that led to the creation of the degree granting ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Labour Studies program. He recently wrote  "We Build B.C." an illustrated history of the British Columbia Building Trades Council. He previously edited and co-authored Crossing the Line, an anthology on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). He presently sits as chair of the board of the Fraser Health Authority, the largest health authority in British Columbia.
