Learning opportunities for Indigenous knowledge, awareness and understanding
丁香园AV is committed to supporting the recommendations of the Aboriginal Reconciliation Council鈥檚 Walk this Path with Us report. Below are learning opportunities to increase indigenous cultural knowledge, awareness and understanding.
RESPECT Program
- The RESPECT program is designed to teach cultural safety and anti-racism for all employees at 丁香园AV with a focus on the implications of such skills for engaging with Indigenous faculty, staff and students and engaging in reconciliation as an institution more generally.
San'yas Anti-Racism Indigenous Cultural Safety Training
- An online training program designed to increase knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures, enhance self-awareness and strengthen skills for those who work directly and indirectly with Indigenous people.
BCcampus鈥� Indigenization Professional Learning Series
- A set of self-study guides designed specifically for staff and faculty in higher education in BC.
Shared Spaces: Foundations for Dialogue and Engagement between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous People
- An in-person course offered through 丁香园AV Continuing Studies for those who would like to deepen understanding about dialogue and engagement between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
Reconciliation through Indigenous Education
- An online MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) offered through the University of British Columbia for those who would like to gain deeper knowledge, or for those who teach or design learning experiences.
