Learning opportunities for Indigenous knowledge, awareness and understanding

¶¡ÏãÔ°AV is committed to supporting the recommendations of the Aboriginal Reconciliation Council’s Walk this Path with Us report.  Below are learning opportunities to increase indigenous cultural knowledge, awareness and understanding.
 

RESPECT Program

  • The RESPECT program is designed to teach cultural safety and anti-racism for all employees at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV with a focus on the implications of such skills for engaging with Indigenous faculty, staff and students and engaging in reconciliation as an institution more generally.

San'yas Anti-Racism Indigenous Cultural Safety Training 

  • An online training program designed to increase knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures, enhance self-awareness and strengthen skills for those who work directly and indirectly with Indigenous people.

BCcampus’ Indigenization Professional Learning Series

Shared Spaces: Foundations for Dialogue and Engagement between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous People

  • An in-person course offered through ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Continuing Studies for those who would like to deepen understanding about dialogue and engagement between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
