Workshops for Staff

We encourage all staff to participate in meaningful learning activities to help you in your role, build on your strengths and contribute to your professional growth.  Here are Spring 2024 workshops, but please also visit our list of online resources on foundational and transferable skills.

Live virtual and in-person workshops are included below. 

Discover Your Strengths (a CliftonStrengths Workshop)

Join us in this interactive workshop to grow awareness of your strengths and how to apply these at work and in your career. Drawing from your  results, you will build your understanding of your unique strengths and talents and how to do more of 鈥渨hat works鈥� at work. This session is suitable for individuals who feel they are on the "right" path, as well as those who wish to progress or shift in their careers.

Monday, February 26th | 1:00 to 3:00pm | Virtual (Zoom)

Need to Cancel your Registration?

Most of our workshops fill up and have waitlists, please cancel your registration with as much notice as possible to open up your space for someone else.  

Please follow these steps to cancel your registration with more than 7 days notice:

  • Go to your Eventbrite account and find the workshop order: 
  • Select 鈥榗ancel your order鈥� 

Cancellations with less than 7 days notice:

  • Email pei_learn@sfu.ca to cancel your registration with less than 7 days鈥� notice.  If we don鈥檛 hear from you and you don鈥檛 attend the workshop, we may need to charge your department to compensate for associated costs. Cancellations within 7 days are not eligible for refunds (when applicable).

Workshop Fees: 

Some workshops have a nominal fee of $75 to offset costs to enable us to provide exceptional learning opportunities. The fee is substantially lower than similar workshops offered externally and can be reimbursed through PD funds or departments may choose to cover the fee.
