¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's Sustainable Energy Engineering (SEE) program is the first of its kind in Western Canada, providing an interdisciplinary learning environment that will prepare students to become global leaders in clean technology.
The SEE program combines courses from other disciplines including the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Environment and the Beedie School of Business to provide students with a unique and specific education on foundational engineering principles, design practices, current technologies, economics, and policies associated with the global cleantech sector. Through engaging learning environments, students will develop a multidisciplinary approach to solve problems, a skill that is in demand in the industry.
This engineering field involves the development of solutions for the harvesting, storage, transmission and use of energy, with careful consideration of economic, environmental, societal and cultural implications. Focusing on sectors such as cleantech, renewable energy, smart cities, sustainable manufacturing, clean power generation and utilization, and sustainable food and water solutions.
