Economics Student Society Career Night prepares students for the future

May 09, 2024

Over 100 students and professionals gathered for the 8th Annual Economics Students Society (ESS) Career Night on February 22, 2024. The night included three rounds of networking, an alumni career panel and an inspiring keynote talk by alumnus Deven Azevedo.

ESS President Amanda Muirhead and co-Vice-Presidents Aurora DeLuca and Ditij Beladiya would like to offer "immense gratitude to Deven Azevedo for traveling from Victoria to deliver an enlightening keynote on consulting and environmental economics." They also want to thank the distinguished career panelists Robert Weston, Glenn Berg, Kevin Skipworth, and Fez Rismani, and to ESS alumnus Colin Fowler for moderating the panel. "Your contributions and shared experiences were the cornerstone of the event’s success!"

Student participants had the opportunity to mingle with over 30 professionals representing a wide range of industries including academia, finance, consulting, data, government and real estate. A professional photographer was on hand to take headshots for students, and students could submit CVs for review.
