Looking back at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Economics in 2021
As we celebrate the start of the new year and a new semester, here is a recap of some of the top highlights that happened at the Department of Economics this past year.
¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Economics was first established as the Department of Economics and Commerce when the University opened in 1965. Since then, the Department has adapted, grown and flourished.

RESEARCH AT ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV ECONOMICS
Research is at the heart of everything we do. Throughout 2021, ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Economics' Research Seminar Series and Brown Bag Seminar Series has continued to thrive in the form of both in-person and virtual seminar offerings.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND STUDENT AWARDS
This past year, we launched our anniversary campaign to raise funds for the newly established . Thanks to the generosity of our alumni base and public support, the fund received $15,000 and a matching $15,000 donation from Kurt Wipp (BA, 1991) and Jennifer Thompson (BA, 1989).
