Sample Jobs
Employers who recruit Co-op students represent a wide range of sectors including federal, provincial and municipal governments, not for profit and social services, research institutes, health authorities, educational institutions, labour organizations, professional associations, consulting firms and businesses of all sizes.
To showcase some of these opportunities, Arts Co-op created Job Infosheets for students who want examples of positions offered through the program. Each Job Infosheet includes 4-5 short summaries of job descriptions and are available at the Arts Co-op office during drop-in and regular hours.
Most Co-op jobs are based in the lower mainland, but a number of positions are based in Ottawa, Toronto, Victoria, other BC regions, as well as countries around the world.
Rates of pay for Co-op positions are set by the individual employers, but here’s the typical range:
- Undergraduate: $16.75 to $23/hour
- Graduate: $20 to $28/hour
During a Co-op job search, you have access to all Co-op job postings on the myExperience online system. In addition to Arts Co-op postings, you’ll see postings related to Business, Communications, Health Sciences, Science and Environment and Applied Sciences – and if you meet the employer’s qualifications in the posting, you’re welcome to apply.
