Campus Public Safety (CPS)
Campus Public Safety works to provide public safety and resource protection services for the University community. In cooperation with other campus service units, CPS supports student success by facilitating responses and programs related to personal safety, emergency response, and risk assessments. They also get involved with our campus environment safety, keeping our mountain wildlife safe too.

Career & Volunteer Services
Career & Volunteer Services supports students with any work and career related questions. They help identify possibilities and work to develop strategies and become more intentional. Carreer & Volunteer Services takes a strength-based approach that helps build resilience, optimism, and agency, while recognizing the uncertainty and complexity of the world. Support is available at all three campuses and is free for up to one year after graduation.

Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL)
If you have a documented or suspected disability, connect with the Centre for Accessible Learning to discuss eligibility requirements and arrange for accommodation. Accommodations are intended to reasonably offset barriers resulting from the impact of the student’s disability in the academic environment while also not compromising the academic standards of the University. Student volunteer opportunities are also available.

Health and Counselling Services (HCS)
The team of medical professionals at Health and Counselling Services are on all three campuses to support your health and well-being. You can book medical or a counselling appointments, or check out workshops and programs that run throughout the year to support your success at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV.

Human Rights Office (HRO)
At ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV, the Human Rights Office is responsible for administering the Human Rights Policy (GP 18) and Procedures. The HRO provides safe, timely, confidential and impartial advice, support, referrals and information to members of the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV community on issues related to human rights, including: discrimination, harassment based on a protected ground (such as sexual or race-based harassment); and GP 18 retaliation.

International Services for Students (ISS)
International Services for Students offers supports for ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV students from international pathways including immigration advising and workshops; medical insurance information; orientation and transition services; intercultural events and programs; as well as peer to peer support through the Global Community Mentorship Program. For students seeking international learning opportunities, ISS operates ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's study abroad programs (exchanges, field school, short-term summer programs).

Office of Student Support, Rights and Responsibilities
The Office of Student Support, Rights & Responsibility is here to help you better understand the supports available to you at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV and your rights and responsibilities as members of the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV community. Guided by the Student Conduct policy, the Office of Student Support, Rights & Responsibilities is a resource for students, faculty and staff.
Students can find out about their responsibilities and rights as members of the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV community, and learn about the supports available to them. Faculty and staff can share concerns and consult with the office to ensure appropriate responses and level of supports are provided to students

Ombudsperson
The Ombudsperson at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV is an independent, impartial and confidential resource for students. They provide information and guidance on students' rights and responsibilities, and University regulations, policies and procedures. The Ombudsperson does not advocate or represent students directly, but acts as a confidential and impartial resource to learn self-advocacy skills. The Ombudsperson is available to help students become their own advocates by providing them with information or advice about regulations, policies and procedures and strategies to use constructive ways to raise issues.

Sexual Violence Support and Prevention Office (SVSPO)
The SVSPO offers free and confidential support for ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV and FIC students and employees who have been impacted by sexual violence, such as sexual assault or harassment, regardless of when or where it took place. They are here to support you in ways that feel right for you. People of all gender identities and sexual orientations are welcome.
