Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations Diploma (CAPE)
¶¡ÏãÔ°AV requirements
Students completing the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations Diploma (CAPE) will be considered for admission on a combination of factors, including a minimum of 3 CAPE Unit I examination subjects and 3 CAPE Unit II examination subjects. Candidates must also demonstrate excellent overall CSEC or O level (GCE) results in the prerequisite subjects.
General requirements
- English language admission requirements.
- CAPE Unit I or Unit II Level English with a grade of III (B) or higher, or CSEC Level English with a grade of II (B) or higher, can be used to meet the English Language ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV requirement
- CAPE Unit I or Unit II Level English with a grade of III (B) or higher, or CSEC Level English with a grade of II (B) or higher, can be used to meet the English Language ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV requirement
- Quantitative and analytical skills requirement
- All applicants must demonstrate competence in Quantitative and Analytical skills.
- Students require a minimum of an IV (C) grade or higher in CAPE Unit I or Unit II Level Mathematics, a minimum of a III (C) grade in CSEC Level Mathematics, or a minimum of a C- grade in Pure Mathematics or Mathematics and Statistics on the GCE Ordinary "O" Level Examinations for admission
- Completion of the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) Diploma
- ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV average calculated on a minimum of:
- 3 CAPE Unit I subjects and
- 3 CAPE Unit II subjects
- All CAPE Unit I and Unit II courses used for admission must be in academic subject areas
- Transfer credit may be awarded for completed academic CAPE Unit II subjects (no credit for CAPE Unit I or CSEC subjects)
- Submit certified true copies of final CSEC results (if applicable), final CAPE Unit I results, and predicted CAPE Unit II results. These must be sent from a school official.
