Wu Jing
BIOGRAPHY
Wu Jing is associate professor of Communication. Her research focus on emerging media technologies in aging society and their implications for contemporary psychological and mental health practice among elderly people. Previous research has included studies in interaction between new media technologies and aging in China; media images and cultural influences of older adults in online media; senior social media influencers and empowerment for self-expression and fulfillment; digital divide and media literacy.
She is currently working on the project: A Study on ICTs, Digital Inclusion and the Elders with Alzheimers. This project will attempt to explore the impact of ICTs on the mental health, disease recovery and humanitarian care of elders with Alzheimers, and the implications for culture and society.
