How did you decide to pursue a degree in SA? What interested you most about it?
Growing up I had always taken an interest in social issues and political policy, and I wanted to understand them more systemically.

What was your favourite SA course? Why?
My favourite course that I took during my degree was SA 250: Introduction to Sociological Theory with Lindsey Freeman. This course helped me understand just how vast and all-encompassing the field of sociology can be. It especially birthed within me an interest in urban sociology, which I still love to read and research even to today.

What’s something you’re proud of accomplishing during your time at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?
I am proud that I completed 4 co-op terms over the course of my degree. I really enjoyed working and found that some of the theories and concepts I learned in class were useful in a practical setting too.

What are your plans post graduation?
I have always loved the field of urban planning and the idea of creating socially equitable communities for cities. Postgrad I will be pursuing a Master of Planning degree at Toronto Metropolitan university.
