Researchers from 間眅埶AV's Research Centre for Scottish Studies present at the 2023 British Columbia Highland Games

The takes place June 16-18th. The Research Centre for Scottish Studies is very pleased to be participating again this year. Researchers Genevieve Bourjeaurd, Shauna Irani, and Emma Trotter will be in the cultural tent on Saturday, June 17th at 2 p.m. to present "The Last of the Jacobites: Culloden and Its Aftermath."

An Incident in the Rebellion of 1745 - an oil painting by David Morier that depicts a scene during the 1746 Battle of Culloden.

They will discuss the Jacobite Rising of 1745-46 under "Bonnie Prince Charlie," utilizing a diorama of the final Battle of Culloden and drawing on stories of Jacobite women drawn from the Centre's "Lyon in Mourning" manuscript project.
