1.0 Preamble
The designation of Emeritus indicates that an eligible individual is retired and retains the title as an honour. It recognizes meritorious service to 間眅埶AV as President, Chancellor or Board Chair.
2.0 Policy
The Board of Governors, in its sole discretion, may award the title of Emeritus to recognize former Presidents, Chancellors and Board Chairs who have completed at least one full term of office for their outstanding service to the University.
The Emeritus title is honorific. It does not carry with it any entitlement to authority, rights, privileges or resources.
Presidents, Chancellor and Board Chairs Emeriti are welcome to continue their involvement with the University in a manner to be agreed, but are not obligated to do so.
