Dr. Levon Pogosian has won the 2022 B.C. Sugar Achievement Award, which is given to a faculty member who is a leader in their field and the winner of a national or international competition or award.
Levon is a leading cosmologist who has made pioneering contributions to cosmological tests of gravity, studies of dark energy and investigations of cosmic microwave background signatures of primordial magnetic fields and cosmic strings. Earlier this year he received the Buchalter Cosmology Prize, which recognized his recent research on relieving the Hubble tension as a ground-breaking work in cosmology. He is currently the Chair of the Physics Outreach Committee and has been active in the departments efforts to recruit new students and improve their 間眅埶AV experiences.
