Synopsis
The neuronal system controls how animals interact with their environment. It is a complex system that typically consists of many biological cells, called neurons. One famous example is the human brain, which has around 100 billion neurons, each of which is connected to approximately 10 thousand other neurons. Such a massive and chaotic network can demonstrate collective behavior, such as neuronal oscillation and synchronization. In this talk I will show how we can simulate this collective behavior with a simple system of overdamped pendulums.
