Synopsis

Geometrically frustrated magnets provide great opportunities to find exotic states such as spin liquid and topologically nontrivial states of matter. To date, magnetic frustration has primarily been studied in insulators. There have been little theoretical and experimental studies in magnetically frustrated conducting materials. In this talk, I will briefly review several effects due to the magnetic frustration in some metallic systems, and discuss a recent progress of quantum criticality in heavy fermion metals and topologically nontrivial state observed in Heusler compounds.
