Entanglement in many body systems - new experiments and perspectives
Jun 12, 2019 at 12:30PM
Synopsis
Entanglement entropy gives an efficient way to understand, simulate, and classify quantum many-body phases. Cold-atom experiments based on interference of identical many-body systems allow now to measure entanglement. Motivated by conformal field theory advances mainly from the high energy community, I will provide a physical meaning to symmetry-resolved entanglement. I will show that this quantity can be measured in experiment, and allows to identify topological states of matter.
